Privacy Policy
In short: NewAgent is Local-First.
We do not collect your notes, files, or personal data. Everything stays on your PC. The only data that leaves your device is anonymized crash reports if you opt-in.
This Privacy Policy outlines NewAgent’s commitment to a local-first architecture. Unlike cloud-based tools, WorkNoted is designed to operate offline-first, meaning your data is stored locally on your hard drive.
Data Collection
We collect zero user-generated content. Your notes, tasks, and project files are never transmitted to our servers. We do not have access to your database password or encryption keys.
Local Storage
All application data is stored in a SQLite database located at
~/Documents/WorkNoted/ by default. You have full control
over this file. You can back it up, move it, or delete it at any time.
Third Parties
We use a limited set of third-party services strictly for payment processing (Stripe) and optional crash reporting (Sentry). These services do not have access to your notes content.

Terms of Use
In short: It's a Software License.
Purchasing WorkNoted grants you a permanent license to use the software locally. You own 100% of your data, while the application code remains the property of NewAgent.
License Grant
Subject to the terms of this Agreement, NewAgent grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, install, and use the WorkNoted software for your personal or internal business purposes.
Termination
This Agreement is effective until terminated by you or NewAgent. Your rights under this License will terminate automatically without notice from NewAgent if you fail to comply with any term(s) of this Agreement.
Restrictions
- You may not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Software.
- You may not modify, adapt, improve, or create derivative works from the Software.
- You may not distribute, sell, lease, rent, or lend the Software to any third party.

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.
